By law, television stations nationwide must begin broadcasting exclusively in a digital format. After several set and re-set dates by Congress, Friday marks the United State's conversion from analog to digital broadcasting. Digital television, better known as DTV, a new form of broadcast technology designed to provide clearer picture and sound.
