WS Police officer in extreme critical conditionOctober 8, 2009 | Kathryn MobleyOne Winston-Salem police officer is in extremely critical condition after being shot in the face by an arm suspect.
50-year-old Sgt. Mickey Hutchens is being treated at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Thursday afternoon his family released a statement thanking the entire community and local and surrounding law enforcement departments for their overwhelming support.
The family also asks the community to continue praying for Officer Daniel Clark, his wife and their unborn child.
