Cyber security is an ever changing and growing concern. The most recent figures show attacks against federal government networks rose nearly 40 percent in 2010. In the 2013 federal budget, the Obama Administration is asking for more than a billion dollars to boost cyber security.
But Some Wake Forest University researchers say they have an answer for preventing cyber attacks. They are using genetic algorithms for computer configuration adaptation to increase security.

The computer science research is funded by a grant from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL).
