January 11, 2013 |

Festivities are underway in Raleigh to welcome the state’s new governor, Pat McCrory. Tonight the Junior League of Raleigh will host the Inaugural Ball. Governor McCrory and Lt. Governor Dan Forest as well as eight incumbent Council of State members will be honored.

Meanwhile, in the Triad, members of the Ragsdale High School Band are putting the final touches on their music. Saturday morning, they will perform at the outdoor inaugural ceremony. Governor McCrory graduated from the Jamestown high school in 1974 and invited the band to be apart of the celebrations.

WFDD will air the 11 a.m. ceremony live from the state capital. Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me will air Sunday at 2pm.
