Triad Temperatures Sizzle Around 100 DegreesAugust 10, 2009 | The hottest days of Summer are hitting the Triad.
According to the National Weather Service, a two-day heat wave caused by strong high pressure over our area will push temperatures near triple digits. Heat indexes will make outside temperatures feel well over 100 degrees.
The National Weather Service has issued heat warnings for Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Davidson, Randolph, Stanley and Montgomery counties for the next two days.
People are encouraged to take the necessary precautions such as limiting outdoor activity and drinking plenty of water when temperatures are this excessive.
On Wednesday, temperatures will return to the lower 90's when a cold front is expected to move through our area.
