The Rise of Unaffiliated Voters

While Democrats and Republicans invest money and energy backing their candidates, there is also a growing number of unaffiliated voters they're trying to win. Dr. Omar Ali is an associate professor of African American and Diaspora Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He specializes in looking at the development of unaffiliated and independent voters in our country. WFDD's Kathryn Mobley spoke with Dr. Ali about what unaffiliated voters say they want.
