Sunnyside Ministries Seeks Donations for Fire VictimsJuly 22, 2009 | David FordWFDD listeners are now familiar with the devestating fire that recently swept through the Adler's Point Apartments, leaving 97 residents, primarily seniors, displaced. Many left their apartments with nothing more than the clothes they were wearing. Now, the Sunnyside Ministry at 319 Haled Street in Winston-Salem is offering the community a way to help these neighbors. The ministry is seeking donations for the displaced who are most in need. Particularly needed are household goods such as sheets, towels, dishes, silverware, pots, and pans. Also needed are underwear for men and women. Hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, and toothpaste among others would also be appreciated.
Sunnyside Ministry Staff is available from 8:00 to 4:00 Monday through Friday at 319 Haled Street in Winston-Salem.
