Sales Tax VacationAugust 7, 2009 | It’s a day that’s being dubbed “GREEN FRIDAY” by retailers. North Carolina’s annual tax-free holiday began Friday and will last through Sunday. It’s the eighth year of this event where shoppers can save the 6.75 percent sales tax on computers, clothing, school supplies and even some small appliances.
