President Barack Obama and the First Lady visit Fort Bragg Soldiers

Earlier Wednesday afternoon, President Barack Obama commended soldiers at Fort Bragg for their tremendous dedication to the United States and to the people of Iraq. He and First Lady Michelle Obama visited the soldiers to mark the ending the Iraqi War.
During the nine years of fighting, 202 Fort Bragg soldiers have died in combat. The president also highlighted the bravery and sacrifices of U.S. forces now returning home. All U.S. troops are to be out of Iraq Dec. 31. President Obama says while Iraq is not in a perfect state, overall the nation is in a better position to help its citizens. He and Mrs. Obama also thanked the military families left behind and acknowledged their sacrifices. President Obama continued to say America now needs to stand up for every soldier, those still serving and those who've retired. President Obama has pledged the U.S. will continue to help the Iraqi people as they continue to rebuild their nation.
