Operation Haiti
January 15, 2010 | Jeff Tiberii
The Greensboro and Winston-Salem chapter's of the American Red Cross are holding "Operation Haiti" - a telethon running until 6:30 Friday night.
Earlier Friday, WFDD's Jeff Tiberii spoke with Director of Public Support Melanie McDonough, from the Greensboro Chapter of the American Red Cross, asking her first what expectations she had for Friday's fundraising efforts.
Although it will not be sent to Hati, McDonough also says the Red Cross is in critical need of O-Negative and B-Negative blood.
If you would like to make a contribution, you can call (336) 333-2111 or 724-0511.
Additionally, the Red Cross has set up a website in an effort to connect people who have been unable to contact family or loved ones who are in Haiti. That link is --- http://icrc.org/familylinks
