New Orleans Labor of LoveSeptember 18, 2007 | Jeff TiberiiIt's been more than two years since Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast. For many people there was an overwhelming feeling of helplessness as they watched images of helicopter rescues, overcrowding in the Superdome and overall Chaos.
Katina Parker is a 1996 graduate of Wake Forest University and a a documentary film maker. Earlier this year she visited the Crescent City and is now making plans to bring several thousand students form around the country into the city an an effort to help restore homes. WFDD's Jeff Tiberii asked here where she got the inspiration for the project.
