Greensboro Edible Schoolyard
September 10, 2009 | Caron Myers
The Greensboro Children's Museum is the first of its kind in the nation to create an edible schoolyard. This garden teaches youngsters how planted vegetable and fruit seeds ultimately turn into the fresh produce we eat. The Greensboro Children's Museum is located at 220 North Church Street in downtown Greensboro. The official ground breaking ceremony is September 24 at 4 p.m. and it's open to the public. Hear what prompted the museum to embrace this project and what this group had to do to earn the blessing of one nationally renowned chef before breaking ground.
