E.J Dionne, Jr. Speaks at WFU CommencementMay 15, 2008 | Wake Forest University held its 166th graduation exercises on May 19th, graduating more than 1,500 students. Washington Post opinon columnist E.J Dionne Jr. was the guest speaker, and he challenged the Class of 2008 to be proactive citizens. Dionne is also a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution where he edits and co-edits a variety of publications. He has received numerous awards, including the American Political Science Association's Carey McWilliams Award, recognizing journalistic contributions to the understanding of politics. The National Journal names Dionne among the 25 most influential Washington journalists.
