Downtown Greensboro Pulls in Millions in New Investments

During the fiscal year of July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011 the downtown attracted more than $60 million in new investments. During the previous fiscal year, new investments totaled about $20 million. President and CEO of Downtonwn Greensboro, Inc. Ed Wolverton credits this growth to several factors, including; new construction projects, new rennovation projects and new real estate transactions. According to Wolverton, during this period, there were 88 building rennovations in downtown Greensboro and 27 property purchases.
