Deadly Storms Slam N.C.

Officials say power has since been restored to more than 200,000 customers.

The National Weather Service confirmed hail the size of ping pong balls in parts of the state and says storms this powerful are rare to our area.

The last string of storms this damaging occured in March of 1984.
