In Forsyth County, there are almost 1800 people living with HIV/AIDS. AIDS Care Service is a non-profit supporting these individuals in Forsyth and surrounding counties. WFDD's Kathryn Mobley spoke with ACS president Christine Jolly, who says in our area, the number of people being diagnosed with HIV/AIDS is increasing. According to Jolly, the fastest growing population contracting HIV/AIDS in North Carolina is African American women.
