Singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Crystal Bright's music defies easy categorization. It's influenced heavily by her studies in both cultural anthropology and ethnomusicology and it's good--really good. Crystal Bright & The Silver Hands has a new CD, Muses and Bones and a unique CD release show is in the works. It's a dark, whimsical, multi-media performance and art production titled "Illuminating and Transcending the Shadow". Crystal talks life, music and the meaning behind that provocative title with TAW host David Ford.

Beginning February 3, and running through the 12th at the Arts Council Theatre in Winston-Salem, TCS will welcome Triad audiences to the fictional, small, North Carolina mountain community of Mitford.
