Triad Arts with David Ford Press 53 Celebrates 100th PublicationOctober 22, 2012Press 53 is an award-winning (as in 10 so far this year alone) independent publisher of poetry and short story collections based in Winston-Salem. Press 53 opened its doors in October of 2005, and next week it celebrates publishing its 100th title: In a World of Small Truths, by Ray Morrison.
The book launch party will be Thursday, November 1, at 7:00pm at the Community Arts Café in downtown Winston-Salem. Kevin Morgan Watson is the founding editor of Press 53, and he’s collaborated with writers setting off on their first book to Pulitzer Prize winners. Kevin isn't big on market trends. He publishes writing that hits him at a gut level, like the first work in Ray’s new book. The powerful short story is titled Laid to Rest.
Ray and Kevin stopped by WFDD to talk about writing, publishing and the new book.
