Triad Arts with David Ford Pianist Pamela Howland presents Remembering Frederick: The Genius of ChopinApril 30, 2012Today we’ll hop on the piano bench and turn pages with pianist Pamela Howland. For decades Pam has explored the great pianist/composer Frederick Chopin’s music through recital performances and lectures. But a few years ago she decided to go a little further, writing and starring in a one woman show titled Remembering Frederick: A Musical Conversation Between Chopin and George Sand. This year the pianist, educator, and actress has dug even deeper and expanded her portfolio in the process to include the title “filmmaker”. On April 17 the RiverRun International Film Festival screened of Pam’s new documentary film Remembering Frederic: The Genius of Chopin, featuring readings from Emmy-award winning actress Rosemary Harris. If you missed that event, you can enjoy a Gala Film Screening on Saturday, May 5 at 7:30pm in Brendle Recital Hall on the campus of Wake Forest University.
