Triad Arts with David Ford John JorgensonJuly 12, 2006Gypsy Jazz is a style of music made popular by guitarist Django
Rhinehart in the 1930s and 40s. Django's musical legacy has inspired
many musicians, including John Jorgenson. John has recorded several
albums and toured the US and Europe with the John Jorgenson Quintet.
The quintet will be in Greensboro next week, as part of the Eastern
Music Festival's EMF Fringe Series. I recently spoke John Jorgenson
about Gypsy Jazz, and his experience playing Django Rhinehart in a
