Triad Arts with David Ford Broadway’s Best Theatre Company of North CarolinaOctober 18, 2012Once upon a time summer stock theatre was thriving here in the Triad, but those days appear to have passed us by--until now! Broadway’s Best Theatre Company of North Carolina has just signed a lease agreement to turn a Davie County ACE Hardware store into a nifty 250 seat, state-of-the art performance space. It offers a sophisticated, professional summer stock season of select musicals and plays over a 10-12 week summer season.
General Manager Stan Bernstein, Artistic Director Gene Johnson, and Music Director Steve Bradford are getting all geared up for showtime, now all they need are a few good corporate and individual partners to make their summer stock dream a reality.
Broadway’s Best season number one will include productions of The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee, See How They Run, Vanities (the musical), a special family friendly production and Steven Sondheim’s Company.
