Real People, Real Stories Turning Graffiti into ArtNovember 4, 2012StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. It is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.
Muralist and multi-media artist, Marianne DiNapoli-Mylet and her assistant, Donell Williams took on a huge challenge this summer in Forsyth County. They stretched their artistic vision in the !POWAR! Program. It’s a nonprofit that uses public art programs to reduce non-authorized graffiti and to raise awareness of gang activity.
DiNapoli-Mylet and Williams are still excited about the positive impact their project had on their students.
