Ramp Hunting

Spring is a time for gardening, planting and hunting. Guest Commentator Diane Flynt describes the art of Ramp Hunting Diane and her husband grow heirloom apples and make hard cider at Foggy Ridge Cider near Floyd, Virginia. She recommends the following places to find tender, delicious ramps. The moist banks of Laurel Fork Creek, along Conner Grove Road, along the steep hillside of Hall Hill, on the side road off Burke's Fork and at the creek base of Buffalo Mountain.
