Making Good People in the Classroom

December 8, 2008

On today's Real People, Real Stories...Guest Commentator Tiffany Holland witnesses how Japan's emphasis on making "good people" is giving them an educational edge over the United States.

Tiffany Holland teaches Social Studies and Language Arts to 7th graders at Wiley Middle School in Winston-Salem. She went to Japan as part of the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program, designed to promote greater understanding between Japan and the United States.

Holland was chosen as one of 160 educators from across the country to participate in this program.

She's also a novice photographer and documentary videographer.
