Real People, Real Stories I Am Still StandingJuly 24, 2011StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. In 1975, while donating blood, Gene Bryson discovered he had kidney disease. In 2010, he underwent a successful kidney transplant at Wake Forest University Baptist Health. In this segment of StoryLine, Bryson describes to ECHO Network Program Assistant, Kathy Pearre, some of the challenges transplant recipients and donors encounter. StoryLine is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.
