Equality Winston-Salem

August 21, 2011

StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. Steve McGinnis is a retired school principal. He talks with his good friend, Mary Jamis. They are co-founders of Equality Winston-Salem, an organization that promotes the strength and well-being of the city’s local lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender and questioning communities. This morning, Steve shares a wonderful story that illustrates the beauty and benefit of lifting everybody up. StoryLine is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.
