Warren Buffett owns Winston-Salem Journal

The Winston-Salem Journal is now owned by billionaire investor Warren Buffett. Buffett paid $142 million to buy the Journal and 62 other Media General Inc. properties. In 1969, Media General purchased the Winston-Salem newspapers from the Gray
family. The transition from Media General will take place over several months. Buffett's media division is the second corporate owner of the Journal in the paper's 115 year history.
