Dr. Hamdy Radwan, a professor of physical therapy at Winston-Salem State University he has friends living in Libya. He said many of them contacted him through Facebook telling him the news.
“I don’t think that tyrant government will come back again with all the people, with the new generation and the youth coming out in the streets and they require their freedom. I don’t think anything will take them back. I’m very happy saying he was. He was history so his name will be erased from the memory and we look for a different Libya. They are very educated, nice people and hopefully they will bring Libya to be one of the prominent countries in the area," said Radwan.
Dr. Radwan believes Gadhafi's death is good news for that region and the United
States.
"The United States our beloved country should take the lessons of what happened to Gadhafi and ask the leaders of Syria and Yemen to step down immediately. You’ll find changes across the region and we hope they will follow not with killing but they will get the lesson and do the necessary changes," said Radwan.
Gadhafi's son and chief of intelligence were also reported killed.
