WS Police officers acted professionally

November 24, 2009 | Kathryn Mobley

The conduct of the Winston-Salem police officers involved in an October fatal shooting was lawful and professional. This is one of the findings from an internal investigation by the Winston-Salem Police Department. It and the State Bureau of Investigation are reviewing the October 7th shooting beside the Bojangles on PetersCreek Parkway. The police chief shared other findings at Tuesday morning news conference --and the third Winston-Salem Police officer involved in that shooting spoke. WFDD’s Kathryn Mobley was there and has more. Officer Kaleb Matthews transferred to the Winston-Salem police force from the Lexington Police Department. He's been an officer for two years.
