WS Home to Middle School Basketball Champions

Winston-Salem is home to some new middle school basketball champions. Carter G. Woodson's Girl's Basketball Team is the new Central Carolina Conference Champions. Friday night, the Eagles took on the Clover Garden Grizzlies out of Burlington and beat them 32-7. Eagles Coach Larry Lisenby says his players executed a strong combination defense of man-on-man and zone. Lisenby says this is the second consecutive year, the Carter G. Woodson's Girl's Basketball Team ends their season undefeated. It's also the second year they've earned the title of Central Carolina Conference Champions.
