WFU Men's Basketball Coach FiredApril 7, 2010 | Jeff TiberiiWake Forset University's Men's Basketball coach Dino Gaudio has been fired. Two sources confirm to WFDD News that Gaduio is out as coach of the Demon Deacons.
In three seasons with the Deacs Gaudio posted an overall record of 62 wins and 31 losses. In the post-season his mark was 1-5, winning his only NCAA Tournament game last month, against Texas.
Gaudio had four years remaining on his contract.
The former Wake assistant was named the headman in August, 2007, following the death of then Wake head coach - and Gaudio's long-time friend, Skip Prosser.
The athletic department is holding a 4:30pm press conference. A successor is not expected to be named at that time.
