Triad School Shuts its DoorsApril 19, 2011 | David FordA Triad school closed its doors Tuesday due to an emergency.
North Forsyth High School was placed on lockdown after a man was shot at a nearby apartment complex.
According to the Winston-Salem Journal the shooting occurred at Countryside Villa Apartments off Shattalon Road shortly after 1:15 p.m.
Police report that a man was shot in the leg and later taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The school was then placed on lockdown as a safety precaution.
Police are continuing their search for the shooter.
