The Language of North Carolina's Constitutional Amendment (on the May 8th Ballot)

In five days, North Carolina voters will head to the polls to select their choices for Governor, Lt. Governor, and House members among others. But overshadowing these races on the May 8 primary is a proposed change to the State’s constitution.

North Carolina's Constitutional Amendment on the May 8th ballot which reads "Constitutional amendment to provide that marriage between one man and one woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized in this State," is sparking heated conversations across our State. This week, WFDD is taking a closer look at some of the reasons why.

David Ford explores the language behind this controversial amendment.
