The Green Commodity Everyone Wants
November 4, 2011 |
Thursday night, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spoke at Wait Chapel on the campus of Wake Forest University. He shared his work with and support of riverkeepers nationwide, including the Yadkin Riverkeeper. Kennedy is the nephew of John F. Kennedy and Edward M. Kennedy. He's also been named as one of Time magazine's "Heroes of the Planet" for his efforts toward protecting natural resources. Kennedy co-hosts Ring of Fire, a nationally syndicated American radio program. Prior to his speech at WFU, he spoke with WFDD's Kathryn about the connection between environmental and economic wealth. The presentation was co-sponsored by Wake Forest University's Center for Energy, the Environment and Sustainability and the Yadkin Riverkeeper.
