The Firefighter Brotherhood

September 5, 2011 | Kathryn Mobley

On September 11, 2001 in New York City, hundreds of firefighters responded to our nation's worst terrorist attack. Weeks later, Winston-Salem Firefighter Engineer Jason Gore and Captain Joe Ramsey separately went to Ground Zero to support their brethren. Gore actually spent some time in the hole left after the World Trade Center Twin Towers collapsed. Capt. Ramsey attended one of the funerals. On WFDD's Real People, Real Stories, they recall those difficult trips.
