Smoking Ban May Cause One Restaurant to Go Up in Smoke
June 1, 2009 | LeShea Agnew
Earlier this month, Governor Bev Perdue signed into law a ban on smoking in all public places except cigar bars and private clubs in North Carolina. The ban was ammended several times by both the House and Senate before it was finally signed into law. The ban marks a historic step for the nation's top tobacco-growing state.
In the near future, lighting up a cigarette in public places in our state will be a thing of the past. But concerns toward the recently passed smoking ban are already affecting area businesses and customers. WFDD's LeShea Agnew profiles a local restaurant that's welcomed smokers for the last 25 years.
