President Obama in North Carolina

October 17, 2011 |

President Obama's 3-day North Carolina tour, promoting his jobs bill, began Monday morning in Asheville and continues in Wilkesboro.

Lifetime Wilkesboro resident and business owner Larry Minton tells WFDD News he'd like the President to consider changing foreign policy to help improve the American economic situation.  He plans to hear Obama speak at West Wilkes High School.

Wilkes County's unemployment rate is one of the highest in the state.  WFDD's Keri Brown is in Wilkesboro, where residents tell her they are hoping the President will address that issue.
