Police Find Winston-Salem GirlJuly 2, 2011 | A missing 12-year-old Winston-Salem girl is now back home. On Friday afternoon, detectives found Alaja Dixon unharmed.
Police are not releasing details about where she was found and why she disappeared. She had been missing since she was seen leaving her home around 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
Her mother, Amika Owens, said her daughter didn't take anything with her when she left. Detectives interviewed all of Alaja's friends during the investigation; none were aware of her location.
