Poetry Workshop Focuses on Truth and ReconciliationApril 24, 2006 | Jennifer CurryTruth and reconciliation was the topic of a poetry workshop this weekend at the Greensboro Public Library. About 12 people gathered to reflect on the events of November 3rd, 1979. That day, five anti-Klan demonstrators were shot dead in the streets of a Greensboro housing project by a caravan of Klansmen and Neo-Nazis. Currently, the Greensboro Truth and Reconciliation Commission is looking into what happened. 88.5 WFDD's Jennifer Curry attended the "Poetry, Truth and Reconciliation" workshop and filed this report.
