Petru Mironescu Part 2September 21, 2007 | Jeff TiberiiA Winston-Salem resident and native of Romania is spending his first week in four years as a free man.
As we reported yesterday in part of our exclusive interview, Petru Mironescu became the center of an international legal incident.
Mironescu says his trouble with the Romaian government began when he lived there - when he was labeled a gypsy - and when the government tried to charge him with crimes he says he never committed. They once arrested and tortured him for seven weeks.
In the part two of our conversation, 88.5 WFDD's Jeff Tiberii spoke with Mironescu's attorney, federal prosecutor Greg Davis, about the extradition process, his client's ordeal, and how Davis says politics played a role.
