Open Doors to the Arts

May 21, 2010 | David Ford

Rick Ryder was 20 years old when he was diagnosed with a spinal tumor. From that day forward the longtime Winston-Salem resident and Sara Lee employee was confined to a wheelchair. But that didn’t prevent him from getting the most out of his short life. WFDD's David Ford explains the impact that Rick's memorial is having on disabled and non-disabled artists at First Baptist Church in Winston-Salem (http://www.fbcw-s.org/). More information about the Open Doors to the Arts exhibition of paintings by teachers and their students is available at (336) 722-2558 extension 118.
