Northern High School Principal and Athletic Director ResignApril 10, 2009 | Kathryn MobleyIn Guilford County, the principal and athletic director at Northern High School are leaving their posts.
According to a news release put out by the Guilford County Public Schools, effective immediately, Principal Joe yeager and Athletic director Derrell Force have resigned.
Superintendent Maurice Green is quoted in the release saying because there is an ongoing investigation, he's not commenting on the details behind their departure.
The school system's news release says the investigation is in regards to high school athletics eligibility and other issues.
Dr. Pat Spicer will step in as chief administrator at Northern until an interim principal is named. Northern physical education teacher Sharon Parks will serve as the interim athletic director.
