Job Interview Fashion Workshop for Women

January 11, 2012 |

Whether they're looking for the first time or searching for a new one, many people across the Triad are job hunting. Thursday evening, the Women's Resource Center in Greensboro is hosting Wear @ Work, a seminar outlining how to dress the part for interviews.

New Choices Program Director Lucy Wellmaker is co-organizing the program. It's free and only for women age 18 and older. According to Wellmaker, some of the basic don'ts when dressing for a job interview include wearing a lot of jewelry, perfume, low-cut blouses or dresses, and bare legs with a skirt.

In short, Wellmaker recommends being conservative when dressing for a job interview - she cautions against brightly-colored manicured nails, bold or glittery make-up, wild hairstyles and platform shoes.

The Wear @ Work workshop is free; reservations are required and can be made at 336-275-6090.
