Greensboro Woman Will Tweet from White House

March 9, 2012 |

Tweeting is taking one Greensboro woman to the White House. The Obama Administration has invited Joy Cook and about 25 other select tweeters from around the world to be on the south lawn next Wednesday, March 14.

Their  job is to send out live tweets of the arrival of British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife. 34-year-old Cook says Twitter is the new digital equalizer. "Twitter cancels out barriers and connects us to other people around the world at the click of a button for free," he says.

Cook applied online for the White House "tweet-up". She says that since her selected she now has more than 2,000 people all over the world following her on Twitter.
