Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama comes to GSO

September 29, 2008 | Julie Goyette

Democratic Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama and running mate Senator Joe Biden continue campaigning in key states this week--as they push toward the general elections on November 4th.

This weekend, they led a rally in the Triad promising to turn North Carolina a traditionally red state...blue.

WFDD's Julie Goyette was there and has more.

Republicans have won the state of North Carolina in each of the past seven Presidential elections. GOP candidate John McCain last visited our state in May during the primary season.

His running mate Alaska Governor Sarah Palin hasn't yet been to North Carolina.
