Debate Coach Ross Smith passes awayJuly 20, 2009 | Jeff TiberiiThe Wake Forest University community is remembering a very successful and well known debate coach.
Ross Smith directed the Wake Forest debate team for 25 years and lead the team national championships in 1997 and 2008.
Smith passed away unexpectedly on Sunday yesterday. He was 54.
Long-time colleague Professor Allen Louden preceded Smith as Debate coach. He spoke to WFDD news from Bulgaria.
