Controversy Surrounds Greensboro Police DepartmentAugust 10, 2010 | LeShea AgnewIn Greensboro, the Greensboro Justice Summer Citizens Group is trying to stop disciplinary actions currently levied against five minority officers.
Friday, they will hold a rally at the police substation on Maple Street in Greensboro. That's when several minority officers plan to publically speak out against misconduct in the department and their own experiences being targeted for disciplinary action.
The Greensboro Justice Summer Citizens Group is a project initiated by the Beloved Community Center, the Greensboro Chapter of the NAACP and The Spirit of the Sit-In Movement Initiative.
Earlier this week, WFDD's LeShea Agnew attended the group's press conference and has more.
