Leading up to the November 6th general elections, WFDD News will bring you interviews with a number of North Carolina candidates running for state and national offices.

On Tuesday, we looked at the candidates for Lieutenant Governor. The duties of this position include, presiding over the state Senate and sitting on the State Board of Education.

Earlier on Tuesday, we heard from Democrat Linda Coleman . Now we will hear from Republican challenger Dan Forest. Forest is Raleigh architect. His mother is U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick.

Forest recently talked with WFDD’s Keri Brown from his campaign headquarters in Raleigh to share his views on smaller government, lower taxes and growing the state’s economy.
