Beth McKee Brings Her Swamp Music Style to The Garage

March 23, 2012 |

Singer/songwriter Beth McKee is bringing the sound of swamp music to the Piedmont.

Early in her career, Jimmy Buffett signed McKee's Mississippi all-female band, 'Evangeline', to his Margaritaville label. Now she's on her own and has just released her first solo album, Next To Nowhere.

One thing that distinguishes McKee's music is her passion for the accordion. You can hear her unique sound at 8:00 tonight at The Garage in downtown Winston-Salem.
