Animal Control Officer pt. 1June 9, 2008 | LeShea AgnewForsyth and Guilford County Animal Control Officers respond to a combined twenty-eight thousand animal calls a year. According 2007 reports from Forsyth and Guilford Counties, summer time is the most dangerous time of year for people to come into contact with potentially dangerous stray animals. Last year in Forsyth County, ACO's captured more than eight thousand stray animals -12 were positive for rabies. In Guilford County, officers removed more than three thousand animals from their streets last year with 11 documented cases of rabies.WFDD’s LeShea Agnew recently rode along with a Forsyth County Animal Control Officer.
